Roderic provides consultancy and interim services to financial services intermediaries, life insurance companies, fund management groups and other financial services support organisations. The main services include:

Financial Services Intermediaries

RDR (RDIP) Audits
to enable firms to assess the impact of the RDR (now referred to increasingly by the FSA as the RDIP), what the proposed changes will mean and the opportunities open to them, based on their current structure and how to address these changes;
Strategic Audits
to enable firms to consider their overall strategy and options which might include such choices as selling the business or making acquisitions;
Proposition Audits
reviewing a firm’s proposition, including the basis of adviser remuneration going forward;
Management Audits
to enable firms to identify the right management team;
Business Planning Audits
helping intermediaries to build and effectively utilise Business Plans;
Product and Service Provider Selection
assisting intermediaries to select and manage the providers of products and services effectively;
Corporate Governance and Risk Management
helping firms to document and manage their governance processes effectively and demonstrate use of appropriate MI to manage their business; and,
Interim Management
providing appropriate resource and support as required.

Intermediary Distribution Strategy
assistance to companies seeking either to enter new markets or increase market share;
Product Development Strategy
working with development teams to design and enhance products; and,
Identification, Assessment, and Management of Intermediary Acquisitions
assisting senior management teams to evaluate, make, integrate and then manage acquisitions as well as to manage associated professional relationships.

How we Deliver our Services

  • We do not operate on a ‘one size fits all’ basis. Rather, we will at the outset of any assignment agree how this is best delivered, having regard to a client’s business and needs.
  • Whilst some assignments will be delivered over a concentrated period, it may be appropriate to deliver others in discrete ‘blocks’ over a longer period of time in order to enable a client to implement changes on a rolling basis.
  • We are also able to provide a retainer service for access to ongoing occasional advice which is likely to be applicable once an initial assignment has been completed.

How we Charge for our Services

  • The fees charged will depend on the nature and duration of the assignment and the resources required and will be confirmed and agreed at the outset.
  • We are flexible as to the pace that we carry out assignments so that on occasion, the work may be spread over a period of time and our fees will only be invoiced as we carry out the work rather than in advance.
  • We will invoice on a basis that is mutually agreed in writing at the outset of the assignment so that there is transparency and clarity.

Who Will Deliver the Services?

The services will be delivered by Roderic Rennison in partnership with the client’s other advisers. Where appropriate, other specialists may be involved but only after discussion and agreement with the client.
