Roderic has been in financial services all his working life and has worked for a number of major financial services intermediaries, life insurance companies, and professional firms. He has extensive management experience across a wide range of business functions.

2008 to present
Rennison Consulting Ltd – director providing consultancy, interim and Non Executive Director services in the retail financial services sector to a range of providers, fund managers, intermediaries and other companies.
The Ideas Lab Ltd – director working with Robert Reid another experienced financial services professional to deliver RDR and change related consultancy to the retail financial services sector.
2004 – 2008
Thinc (Now Bluefin) – Chief Operating Officer, responsible for operations, compliance and provider relationships as well as the merger of Thinc and Destini. Worked with CEO to raise finance and latterly sell the company to AXA in 2006. Post acquisition, appointed Group Corporate Director, responsible for company secretarial, legal, compliance, risk, provider relationships, including technical services and the due diligence in connection with acquisitions and their integration.
2001 – 2004
Bradford & Bingley – Group Financial Services Director, responsible for negotiating and developing products for the Bank’s 1,000 strong sales force and involved in the acquisition and integration of high net worth intermediaries.
1998 – 2001
Mercury/Merrill Lynch – Director Merrill Lynch Pensions (life insurance subsidiary) and Merrill Lynch Unit Trust managers, responsible for retail pension sales and marketing funds to life insurance companies.
1987 – 1998
Robson Rhodes Chartered Accountants – (now part of Grant Thornton), Equity partner in charge of financial services subsidiary, led the consultancy for the Pension Transfer and Opt-Out Review, and successfully marketed the firm’s services to specialist industry sectors.
1986
Vanbrugh Life (Now Prudential) – top new consultant developing new intermediary relationships as well as re-invigorating dormant connections.
1976 – 1985
Barclays Insurance and Services (Barclays Bank’s in-house financial services subsidiary) and Pension Product Manager, Barclays Life – consistently amongst the top advisers and latterly responsible for the most productive team and then developing products for the Barclays Life sales force.

Professional Activities
Roderic is a member of the CII’s Disciplinary Committee having previously been a member of the CII’s Professional Standards Board, the CII Executive Board, The Society of Financial Advisers Board (now The Personal Finance Society) and Vice President of the CII.
